Thanks for purchasing Make Referrals, Get Discounts! Installation and editing is simple, just follow the steps below.

1. Install vQmod
Download and installation instructions here:
https://code.google.com/p/vqmod/wiki/Install_OpenCart
(Use the OpenCart version)


2. Unzip Files
MRGD.zip contains all the files needed to install the extension.


3. Upload Files
Copy contents of the admin and catalog directories to your OpenCart directory, respecting the directory structure.


4. Modify your Database
Import MRGD.sql to your database. This will add two tables to your database to track coupons and coupon usage history. (NOTE: you will need to edit this file to reflect your table prefix if you have specified one, ie: if your prefix is "oc_", then the "refer_coupon" table name becomes "oc_refer_coupon".)


5. Add the Styles
Copy the text in MRGD-admin-styles.css and paste at the bottom of: admin/view/stylesheet/stylesheet.css.

Copy the text in MRGD-styles.css and paste at the bottom of: catalog/view/theme/default/stylesheet/stylesheet.css. (You can edit these styles to match the look and feel of your site.)


6. Add the vQmod Content
Copy MRGD.xml to the vqmod/xml directory on your server


7. Set Module Permissions
Log into the admin panel of your OpenCart website and go to System > Users > User Groups Edit the Top Administrator group and under Access Permission and Modify Permission check module/referfriend, report/refer_coupon, and total/refer_coupon. Click Save.


8. Install Module
Go to Extensions > Modules and click Install next to Make Referrals, Get Discounts.

Go to Extensions > Order Totals and click Install next to Make Referrals, Get Discounts.

Then click Edit then set the dropdown box to Enable.


9. Edit Module Settings
Go to Extensions > Modules > Make Referrals, Get Discounts and edit the extension options.
